Background
Problems before use
Before starting to use DEPAK, we used to thaw the food in the refrigerator. However, even if we put them in the refrigerator the night before, they were often not thawed the next day. Sometimes it took two days to thaw, so we could not respond to urgent orders.
Another problem was that the refrigerator was opened and closed many times during the day, so the temperature of the food varied depending on the season.
We tried to thaw them naturally, but only the surface was thawed and the center was frozen, so we could not slice them afterwards.
Effects
Consistent and stress-free thawing process
Since we started using DEPAK, we have been able to stabilize our thawing process because if we start thawing by the end of the day before, it is uniformly thawed by the start of the next day’s work.
The consistent thawing conditions also made the slicing process much easier, resulting in less scrap from slicing and improved quality. We are now able to fulfill additional orders up to the day before.
An indispensable machine
Before using DEPAK, we did not understand the necessity of a thawing machine because we were able to thaw food in the refrigerator or at room temperature. However, once we started using it, operations became much easier. We are glad that we invested in it.
Since the food is thawed in a good environment, there is no longer any waste because food quality is maintained better.
